Today we’ve announced the hiring of industry veteran Kai Ahrendt as Vice President, EMEA. With extensive experience in both EMEA sales and the performance monitoring category, Ahrendt’s leadership will help our company strategically grow our EMEA customer base and operations, which includes two new offices in Hamburg and London.
“In today’s always-connected world, end users expect to access applications from anywhere and on just about any device, quickly and hassle-free. Their expectations are driving a growing reliance by all kinds of digital businesses on end-user experience management technology. Catchpoint is the global leader in developing solutions to help them deliver amazing customer experiences,” says Ahrendt. “EMEA-based organizations are keenly aware of the performance challenges they face, and we are here to help them. I look forward to helping our new offices flourish, as they support more businesses to achieve digital performance excellence.”
Ahrendt has more than 20 years of sales experience, having held key roles at Segue Software, Gomez (now part of Dynatrace), and Keynote Systems. In addition to EMEA sales, Ahrendt also has deep industry knowledge and experience in addressing organizations’ performance-related challenges. In his new role, Ahrendt will report to COO Robert Ranaldi.
We operate the world’s largest performance monitoring infrastructure, with the highest number of monitoring nodes and the most expansive geographic coverage. These nodes measure and monitor the performance (speed, availability, and reliability) of clients’ digital properties around the clock, including websites, mobile sites, and applications.
We differ from the competition in several key ways. First, the wide geographic reach of our nodes infrastructure allows clients to get the most accurate view of performance for end users around the world. Second, our performance data is combined with rich analytics in real time, enabling IT teams to identify and fix hotspots within their own infrastructure and across the internet, often before performance problems occur. We also monitor the performance of cloud infrastructures, and are integrated with popular enterprise IT incident and alert management systems.
“A strong EMEA presence is critical to Catchpoint’s overall business success,” says Mehdi Daoudi, co-founder and CEO, adding, “Kai Ahrendt has the talent and drive we need to lead and inspire our local employees, acquire new customers, support existing ones, and expand our overall EMEA footprint.”
