Streamline Your Online App Use with Catchpoint’s Zapier Integration
With Catchpoint’s Zapier integration, DevOps can now spend more time solving site issues and less time managing all of the different apps that are in use.
DevOps use a large arsenal of tools when dealing with site performance issues, including alerting systems that notify Ops teams at the first sign(s) of trouble. Once alerted of a possible issue, standardized procedures are followed to get to the root cause of the problem and deploy resources to find a resolution. These procedures can contain simple tasks such as creating an event in Google Calendar, creating a task in a project management tool like Asana, updating the product RSS feed, etc.
Wouldn’t it be great if Catchpoint could talk to these apps to automate some of the process to free up time? That is where Zapier comes in.
Zapier aims to integrate online apps using Zaps. A Zap is an automated action in one app that is triggered by an event in another app. Think of a Zap like an “if/then” statement; e.g. if a Catchpoint alert is triggered, then create a new message in Slack to notify the development team.

Any information available through the Catchpoint push API is thereby available for use by any app in the Zapier catalog of supported apps. This means the metrics that Catchpoint provides to DevOps through alerts can be used by other online apps. Making a note in Evernote based off of an alert? Now that note can automatically be created with detailed information about which node was affected, and when/how it was affected. Zaps will only trigger set conditions based on alert content.

With the power of Catchpoint’s Push Alert API and Zapier, DevOps can spend more time solving site issues and less time managing all of the different apps that are in use. Like Zapier says, “Reclaim your day. Connect your apps, automate your work.”
