Catchpoint CEO Mehdi Daoudi to Speak at New MIT Sloan CIO Digital Learning Series

Panel to discuss the post-pandemic enterprise on August 12, 2020

(New York, USA) – (August 6, 2020)Catchpoint™ today announced that Mehdi Daoudi, CEO and Co-founder will be a featured speaker on The Post-Pandemic Workplace and Customer Experience panel which is part of the MIT Sloan CIO Digital Learning Series, on August 12, 2020. To register for the Digital Learning Series please click here.

In lieu of the 17th MIT Sloan CIO Symposium, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 precautions, the new MIT Sloan CIO Digital Learning Series will provide monthly webinars through October 2020 that are targeted at CIOs as well as all people interested in digital technology and its impact on business and society. Like the Symposium, the Digital Learning Series will focus on leadership of the digital enterprise, but in addition will explore a wider range of topics and issues that inform the evolution and use of digital technologies in business and society. With a focus on the theme, “Leading a Post-Pandemic Enterprise,” it will equip attendees to not only understand how to operate in the new environment but how to stay competitive and engaged with customers and stakeholders.

The MIT Sloan CIO Digital Learning Series will feature more than a dozen interactive panel discussions led by CIOs, technology executives, and MIT thought leaders, including Keri Pearlson, George Westerman, and Tom Davenport.

According to a recent survey, 26 percent of business leaders think their organizations’ “new normal” will mean more employees working from home. Some companies, such as Twitter, have already committed to it. Irving Wladlawsky-Berger, moderator for the panel, also recently noted in his blog that even if employees go back to the office, the office might never be the same. In addition, 48 percent think technology spending at their company will increase because of the pandemic. Much of that increase will be because of the growing remote workforce. But, as things return to normal, the number-one challenge businesses will face is the work-from-home structure. CIOs need to provide an acceptable workplace experience—including speed, reliability, security, and availability. This panel will discuss steps CIOs can take to cope with the post-pandemic workplace.

“Companies are learning to adapt to a remote working environment but the sudden move to fully remote workforce due to the pandemic has exposed many challenges in IT’s ability to deliver effective digital experiences to remote workers,” said Mehdi Daoudi, CEO of Catchpoint. “With employees continuing to work remotely, in many cases permanently, we need to focus on the next steps, including a new generation of digital workplace applications and how to fully understand, manage, and improve the employee experiences for the post-pandemic workplace.”

“Through the new MIT Sloan CIO Digital Learning Series, we are pleased to offer technology leaders and enthusiasts opportunities to come together virtually to explore what leading a post-pandemic enterprise may involve,” said Allan R. Tate, Executive Chair, MIT Sloan CIO Symposium. “Attendees will learn how to navigate the new landscape with innovative technologies, strategies, and confidence and online networking to enable valuable connections.”
