Web Performance Monitoring Leader Hires Vice President of Operations and Relocates Company Headquarters; Leading Startup Watchers Take Notice
New York, NY – (Nov 6, 2014) Catchpoint Systems, Inc., a provider of innovative web and infrastructure monitoring solutions, today announced the addition of Camille Fremed as Vice President of Technical Operations, and plans to relocate its current New York City company headquarters to a new, more spacious office. This news reinforces Catchpoint’s recent designation as a “Top Manhattan Startup” by Symmetry50.
With more than 30 years of IT experience, Fremed has overseen web performance improvement initiatives for high-profile web companies including priceline.com, where recently she was VP of Global Infrastructure Operations for the Priceline Group. In her new role, Fremed will be responsible for continuing the buildup of Catchpoint’s Global infrastructure and helping to deliver new products.
“Catchpoint has always approached web performance from the right perspective – that of the end-user,” says Fremed. “I have worked with numerous web performance products and Catchpoint clearly stands apart in the area of analytic capabilities. The company excels in identifying the source of performance problems across a wide range of web infrastructure variables, helping customers find and fix issues before users are impacted.”
Additionally, in early January Catchpoint will be moving to a larger office at 150 West 30th Street. This move will provide significantly more office space for the approximately 75 new hires expected locally for Catchpoint between now and the end of next year. These new hires, spanning multiple departments including engineering, technical support, marketing and more, will bring Catchpoint’s employee headcount in New York to 125, and 200 worldwide, by the conclusion of 2015.
Catchpoint’s significant growth and industry traction were recently recognized when Symmetry50 named the company to its list of extraordinary Manhattan-based startups. “Catchpoint is staying ahead of the curve by investing heavily in its engineering workforce, and constantly improving on its cutting-edge technology with an impressive schedule of eight new product releases every year. That not only ensures that it will continue the rapid growth that is has enjoyed over the past few years, but will also push its staff to conquer new challenges on a consistent basis,” writes Symmetry50’s Doug Darroch.
“Camille was the perfect candidate for the job. Having brought Catchpoint into priceline.com, she is familiar with the landscape in which we operate and the challenges we face. This unique customer view makes Camille a formidable addition to our team. She understands the agility we must maintain and the maturity we need to achieve as we work with more Fortune 500 companies,” said Mehdi Daoudi, CEO and co-founder of Catchpoint Systems. “We are well-prepared and excited to promote the growth of our company, while keeping an undivided focus on what has propelled us thus far – superior customer service, corporate culture and product innovation.”
